Sustainability statement

Our Approach

At Bloom Well at Home, we understand that small, everyday choices create powerful change. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do — caring for people and the planet, today and for the future.

Every project, product, and partnership is guided by the same principle: do it as eco as we can. We know nobody is perfect, but we believe small, thoughtful steps — consistently taken — lead to meaningful change.

When you connect with Bloom Well at Home, you’re part of a community committed to nurturing families, supporting sustainable businesses, and protecting the natural world we all share.

Growing our positive environmental impact

We’re proud to support Ecologi, funding climate projects and planting trees around the world.
This helps restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and reduce carbon emissions — creating a greener future for families everywhere.

Our Ecologi Impact (June – September 2025)

So far, Bloom Well at Home has already:

  • 🌳 Planted 18 trees (reforestation projects worldwide)
  • ♻️ Avoided over 1 tonne of CO₂ emissions (equivalent to taking a car off the road for over 2,500 miles)
  • 🌍 Supported global climate solutions including methane reduction projects in Brazil

Our monthly commitment is steadily funding projects that restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and tackle the climate crisis, one step at a time.

Our current lend with care project: Ghulam Haider’s Craft

Right now, we’re supporting Ghulam Haider, a 40-year-old skilled craftsman from Kasur. He lives with his wife, three daughters, and a son. His two eldest girls are in school, while his wife cares for their toddlers at home.

For the past two years, Ghulam has been giving old clothes a new life by unwinding sweaters and jerseys to create thick yarn. This clever reuse of materials reduces waste and turns textiles that might otherwise be discarded into something valuable. His yarn is in high demand among shopkeepers, who use it to craft traditional wooden beds, known as ‘Charpai’ — a sustainable, long-lasting piece of furniture central to local homes and culture.

With his loan, Ghulam is purchasing a bulk supply of sweaters and jerseys — the raw materials he needs to expand production. This investment will allow him to meet rising demand, grow his income, and continue his eco-conscious craft while securing a more sustainable future for his family.

You don’t need to be a business to get involved with Lend with Care. Use our referral code below to lend £15 to a deserving business of your choice – for free! You don’t need to add your own funds to this, and once the business has repaid the loan – you can reinvest it for someone else to use.

Why This Matters

Together, these commitments reflect our belief in an eco-conscious, people-positive approach:

  • Caring for the earth.
  • Supporting families.
  • Creating ripples of change that reach far beyond our own homes.

How we run

After a lot of research, we’ve chosen to host and build our site on WordPress:

  • Open-source and efficient — community-driven code that reduces duplication and energy waste.
  • Lightweight by design — we only use what we need, keeping our site fast and energy-efficient.
  • Sustainable hosting options — supported by a wide network of eco-conscious hosts, who power their servers with renewable energy and offset carbon impacts.

This means we have a low-carbon, future-friendly digital footprint.

We only ever create, promote and recommend products that align with our values

  • Eco-conscious — kinder to people and the planet.
  • Practical — realistic choices families can weave into daily life.
  • Positive — helping parents and children bloom together.
